Artience was founded in 2009 in the midst of the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2008. We were two brave women who were deeply discouraged by the systemic failures of the traditional private wealth management and banking models we had worked in and around for many years. We wanted to do better for our clients but we were limited by the inherent conflicts of interest that still exist at banks and broker dealers. We took a leap of faith when we left the establishment infrastructure of comfortable and secure Wall Street careers and struck out on our own to found Artience. Over a decade later, we and our clients, have never looked back!
The 2007-2008 financial crisis reminded investors — once again — that many of our financial institutions are broken. Their products are laden with hidden fees and confusion. Their advice and research is riddled with inherent conflicts of interest.
